Description

This vintage quilt includes 49 hand pieced may basket quilt blocks. Sashing and cornerstones were added to finish off this brown and pink delightful 72″ square quilt. This quilt will look nicely on a twin bed or on the back of a couch. The quilting pattern is Baptist Fan and the binding was finished off by machine. The origins of the block fabric appear to be cotton or a cotton blend, while the sashing, cornerstones, borders and backing are all 100% cotton. The batting is a 100% cotton summer weight. The quilting is done loosely, making it a warm quilt in the south.
